    Gender Reveal: We’re Having A…

A few weeks ago, my husband and I had no intuitive feeling about what our baby’s gender was. I suppose we were still processing the reality of expecting a real baby and we chose not to anticipate the gender. However, I had heard plenty of old wives tales about how to identify the gender. For instance: Carrying low means it’s a girl and high means it’s a boy, and craving salty foods means it’s a boy and craving fruit means it’s a girl (cold fruit is my new BFF by the way). Well, this week Andrew and I went to my 20-week anatomy scan, and… The verdict is in: we’re having a BABY BOY. cue ugly cry…

    Nana Goodness Gracious

Although it’s rainy and cold here in the Bay Area lately, I’ve been NEEDING nana ice cream (I mean seriously, summertime come through!). And let me tell you, I’ve had some serious cravings for pecans! So I thought why not pair nanas and pecans together!? This recipe is packed with protein and tons of vitamins to nourish your body & soul! Tools: High-speed blender or food processor Ingredients:  2-3 frozen bananas dash of cinnamon plant-based vanilla protein powder (I used Sun Warrior protein powder) 8 oz. of almond milk Don’t forget to garnish with pecans and a few goji berries! Enjoy! With Love,

    What Went Down in Portland

For the past few weeks, homework has had me swamped! I haven’t had time to finish up a few business projects or even post on my blog! (inhale, exhale) 🙂 So last weekend, Andrew and I took a trip to Portland to surprise my sister as she competed to win the title of Miss Washington. Neither of us had ever been to Portland, so we were thrilled to embark on this trip! After 11+ hours of driving from the Bay Area to Portland, we finally arrived at the lush city! Our puppy, Ranger, did SO good considering this was his longest car ride ever. We stayed at the Hilton downtown, and boy let me…

Outfit of the Day: I’m Thinkin’ Blazers

Ahh, my FIRST style post! Not nerve-racking at all right? 🙂 If you know my personality well, this is definitely out of my comfort zone as I’m usually the one behind the camera! But that’s the self-challenge that I took on this year, plus getting better organized but I’ll talk about that in a different post. Okay, moving on to the  REAL reason you’re here! My style is pretty minimalistic. I don’t own a purse and I love the idea of simple jewelry. I’ll choose comfort over compromise any day! However, I do enjoy getting dressed up every once in a while, plus I like a cute outfit that’s topped with a blazer.…

    Top 5 Books I Read in 2017

Prior to last year, my reading list consisted of self-help, non-fiction, and Christian living books in addition to what I read for school (hello Organizational Leadership major!). Talk about staying in the books! Now, don’t get me wrong I believe those books are great but I was growing bored of the style and in need of change. I wanted something fresh and a creative new story to finish my evenings with. That frustration led me to fiction books, and the rest is history! *Peep, I’m sort of a Francine Rivers fan! Here is my top reading list of 2017: Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst The Atonement Child by Francine Rivers The…
