WE’RE PREGNANT!

WE’RE PREGNANT!

Okay, so maybe you’ve already known for a while due to my posts on social media but we’re expecting our first child!

Looking back, it’s funny how things work out. In February, I was afraid that we’d have more trouble conceiving even after my operations. Before we discovered that we were expecting, we sat down in our living room and discussed our family plans.

Plan A: Continue to hope and try for a baby for at least a year. If that didn’t work out, then we’d result to Plan B: contact my doctor to discuss IVF. However, unbeknownst to us, we were already pregnant!

The following Saturday I had a dream that I was pregnant. I mean c’mon, I seriously didn’t believe that dream meant ANYTHING considering the number of baby dreams I’d had the year prior. So, this dream didn’t seem out of the ordinary. The next day, while we were getting ready for church I decided to take a pregnancy test not actually believing I’d have a positive test but simply hoping that I would.

As we were both scrapping around the house rushing to not be late for church, I checked the test and there it was—a positive test result.

Boy did we cry tears of joy!

My husband and I went to church that morning with a grateful heart and feeling comforted by our faithful God.

As of today, I am 20 weeks pregnant! Time sure does fly! My first trimester was pretty good. I had typical nausea and oddly enough I couldn’t stand the smell of my own dog (Sorry Ranger!). At 20 weeks, my energy has returned but I have the appetite of a caveman 😉

Andrew and I were going to wait to find out the gender until the baby’s birth. But recently, we decided to change our minds. Only 5 more days until we know!

We’re so thrilled and blessed to become parents and can’t wait to meet our sweet little love come early November!

Hello! My name is Kayla, a photographer living in Montana with my loving husband and baby boy. I'm a lover of wellness, lifestyle and good eats. Come stay for a while!
