Top 5 Books I Read in 2017
Prior to last year, my reading list consisted of self-help, non-fiction, and Christian living books in addition to what I read for school (hello Organizational Leadership major!). Talk about staying in the books! Now, don’t get me wrong I believe those books are great but I was growing bored of the style and in need of change. New Year, New Hair-Do: Box Braids
Confession: I haven’t had braids in TEN years! Yes, let’s repeat that ten! I’m sure some of you are wondering why. I guess a few bad experiences left me feeling a little burnt regarding my salon experiences. In addition to this, I wasn’t a personal fan of hair extensions either. Mahalo Maui
Hawaii holds a special place in my heart. Sure, I might be biased considering it’s where my husband and I spent our honeymoon while on Kauai back in 2015. However, this time, we traveled to Maui with certainty that it would not disappoint just as the last island did not. Andrew and I spent our days in the rainforests of Hana and the east side beaches. Our nights were usually up north in the hustle and bustle of Kahului –a populated, vibrant city.
