What Went Down in Portland

For the past few weeks, homework has had me swamped! I haven’t had time to finish up a few business projects or even post on my blog! (inhale, exhale) 🙂

So last weekend, Andrew and I took a trip to Portland to surprise my sister as she competed to win the title of Miss Washington. Neither of us had ever been to Portland, so we were thrilled to embark on this trip! After 11+ hours of driving from the Bay Area to Portland, we finally arrived at the lush city! Our puppy, Ranger, did SO good considering this was his longest car ride ever.

We stayed at the Hilton downtown, and boy let me tell you, we didn’t realize what we had gotten ourselves into! The busyness completely caught us off guard and caused us to feel a little overwhelmed at first. (Yep, I’m sure you guessed right, we’re your textbook introverts!) But it only took the first evening to appreciate what Portland had to offer. I was a lover of the city’s rolling hills and the fog that rested between the mountain’s busom. The entire state of Oregon is a photographer’s dream! At least once in your life, I encourage you to take a few days to adventure through the breathtaking Pacific Northwest, you won’t regret it!

Aliyah, I’m SO proud of you! Not only did you place 1st runner-up in the state of Washington but you elegantly displayed perseverance and the Spirit of God throughout your competition. I encourage you to continue to pursue your dreams as you allow the Lord to navigate you through life. Always remember He is greater!
